Find loot, get cursed and fight monsters in this crazy card game full of bunnies. 18 artists have drawn cards for this card game, which is at the same time a normal deck of cards!
Bossbattle bunnies is a fast and simple card game. Ideal for in the bar or as an in between game on a game night. The best thing about this game, in my opinion, is the cards. They are beautiful and I love the many different bunnies. I also think it is very smart to make the cards also laying cards. The game is simple, and when you payed it a couple of times it might not be as exciting. The normal deck makes it so much more practical and diverse. . ⭐️score: 7.5

The components of this game are really high quality and the dice look really nice. The concept of the game is really easy and great for kids. The game can last about 5 minutes so they can stay focused on the game. It can be a bit chaotic, but if you liked that this game is even more fun. . ⭐️Score: 8️⃣/🔟

The special characters however do have different powers, therefore every game of Maffia is different. The cards are plasticised so that’s perfect for a party game. The box is really nice to because it closes with a magnetic strip. . ⭐️Score: 7.5/🔟
Altough I’m writing about board game for only 5 months, I noticed that a lot of people want my opinion about a specific game or board games in general. I am really proud to say that I’ve been interviewed by the Dutch newspaper NRC Next about board games.
The piece in the newspaper is about the growing popularity of Board Games. The journalist went to board game nights and asked the players why board games are so fun. She also asked a publisher if they noticed that more people are interested in board games and if they sell more. They noticed that people consume a lot more board games than before, because people play a game less times before they buy a new one.
The journalist asked me when a board game is a good game. What qualities does a game need to have?
Translation: ,,What makes a game great? Game reviewer Tanja Brouwer (25) has her own thoughts about that. Since last summer she reviews board games on Instagram. She says it it important that there are different ways of winning a game and that it is nice when you can beat a player in the last moment. You don’t want to play a game when you know an hour before the end that you’re going to lose, like Monopoly. She also thinks it is important that a player stays focused and involved when it is not their turn. You see that interaction aspect in Ludo.
For all the Dutch and Belgian people. You can read the whole article here.
Game: Western Empires Publisher: @999games Designers: Flo de Haan (@flodehaan ), Gerart de Haan, John Rodriquez, Francis Treshman. Artist: Franz Vohwinkel Players: 5 – 9 Time: 2 – 13 HOURS! . Western Empires covers the development of an ancient civilization. Expand your empire and travel through the Stone Age , Bronze Age and Iron Age. It looks like a war game, but it’s not. Western Empires is about history, trade and development.
This game is impressive. The board is GIGANTIC and it is clear that the designers have put a lot of thought in this game. I didn’t play the full version, but the six hour version and the two hour game. They play vey smoothly and the game really feels well balanced. Indeed this game doesn’t feel like a war game, it is way more about building something up. Off course this game is not perfect, and for me that all has to do with the practicality. First of all you need a table that is big enough for the board. Gather 5 people who wants to play. And then you need the time to play for hours and hours. But when you have all that, I guarantee that you’ll have an amazing time. . ⭐️Score: 8.5/🔟

Every single player tries to rescue city’s and defeat monsters in this roll and move adventure. But only one can be the biggest hero. Win glory points by questing, winning battles and fate.
Review: this game is really simple to learn but still feels complex enough to keep you interested. The game feels well balanced but I’m the most impressed by the artwork. I really love the box, the board but especially the cards! This game is now in the top 5 of my favorite board games! . Score: 9️⃣/🔟
Game: Red Panda Publisher: Morning Games Designer: Romaric Galonnier Artist: Derek Laufman Players: 2-6 Time: 10-20 min . There are six different types of cards which all have an unique power. When you’re lucky the cards will use its power, but when you have bad luck the cards isn’t unique enough and you get punished.
Red Panda is a fast card game that can be played by children and adults. Luck plays a big factor, so for that reason I think this game is more for children and for people who like a fast, simple and short game. . ⭐️Score: 6.5/🔟
Game: faktoria Publisher: LuTyGo Designer: Luc de Charrière Artist: Bartek Fedyczak . Faktoria is a medieval city building game. There is an auction, a building and a production phase. In the auction players need to spend money to get resources that are needed for building buildings. The buildings are worth victory points or can give you more resources in the production phase. The player with the most victory points after 5 rounds wins the game!
I actually never heard of the game before @spiel_messe. But I am so happy that I saw Faktoria. The gameplay is easy enough for new board gamers, but still challenging enough to keep the attention of more experienced players. The auction is fun because of the interaction with other players and the rest of the game is really strategic. The only thing I didn’t like was when I played it with just two players. The auction wasn’t that exciting. But other than that: great game! . Score: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In Crossroll Hong Kong players are traveling through Hong Kong. Each turn you can pick two dice and cross of a route. There are many different ways to score points (crossroads, checkpoints and landmarks) which makes the game complicated and tactical.
Review: this is a fast and fun roll and write game, but it is more complex than most. Therefore it feels more like a board game. The components of the game are nice and I think will last a long time. The rule book however wasn’t that good. I needed to look for an explanation online so that deserves some attention! . Score: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In the Brexit card game you try what politicians can’t: form a cabinet. Try to form a cabinet with extremely high points of extremely low points. Everything in between would not be a successful cabinet. Meanwhile other players try to stop you to form a cabinet and sometimes a surprise card appear and everyone need to adjust their plans.
The card game looks really funny. Especially when you are British or you follow the Brexit in the news, this game would have your interested. The rules are easy to learn and the game can take up to an hour. I liked this game, because it is so easy. But Ialso think it is not perfectly balanced because we would play a long time and their was no end in sight. I also wonder for how long this game is fun, because a lot will change within one year.
